Koyo Ohara is a Japanese film director best known for his popular Roman Porno films, Fairy in a Cage (1977) and the Pink Tush Girl series (1978–1980). One of Nikkatsu's most versatile and prolific directors, filming eight movies in 1979 alone, his stylistic preoccupations led him to be known as "King of Pop Art Porn" - Wikipedia

A group of young women is thrown into a horrible juvenile hall, due to their illegal acts. They soon wish they were back on the outside, as a gang of inmates subjects this “fresh meat” to the horrors of being locked up. Mayumi, a new inmate with a mysterious past, stands up for herself and fights back! NO ONE is going to push her around, and she hatches an escape plan to seek revenge on the person who had her incarcerated.

A year after True Story of a Woman Condemned Continues (1975), Nikkatsu must of got wind that Toei was re-launching the Sassori series with New Female Prisoner Scorpion: #701 (1976) allowing director Koyu Ohara to be back in business with New True Story of a Woman in Jail (1976).

In the final film in the series, a woman is imprisoned for killing her unfaithful husband and his girlfriend, leading to more sleazy prison antics.
